A Framed Ottoman Red Kaaba Kiswa Textile, 18th Century.
Woven in deep red silk with silver thread inscriptions, the textile displays repeating Islamic declarations in thuluth script, including the Shahada ("There is no god but Allah, Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah") arranged in diagonal bands and medallion motifs.
With frame: Approximately 59 x 28.5cm
