An Ottoman Fragment of the Kaaba Kiswa.
Crafted in rich crimson with woven threaded inscriptions, the composition features repeated diagonal registers of the Shahada (“There is no god but Allah, Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah”) and other Quranic phrases in elegant thuluth script. Each chevron band is bordered with geometric floral motifs.
