An Ottoman Calligraphic Panel with Tughra Form.
An Ottoman Islamic calligraphic composition rendered on paper, featuring dense swirling lines of Arabic script in the form of a large stylised tughra. The central calligraphy is bordered by an elaborate illuminated frame in deep blue and black panels, inscribed in silver with additional Qur’anic verses and invocations. The calligrapher’s signature appears in the lower right.
