A Rare Safavid Tinned Copper Lidded Kashkul Beggar's Bowl with Arabic Inscriptions, 17th Century.
A Safavid tinned copper kashkul of flattened ovoid form. The body is densely decorated with interlacing floral scrollwork and multiple bands of thuluth Arabic inscriptions. The domed upper section features pierced arabesque openwork and is topped with a finial. Suspension loops are affixed to each side, and a stylised protrusion extends from the base. The underside includes an engraved medallion surrounded by further floral motifs.
