A Safavid Tinned Copper Ewer with Basin, 17th Century.
This Safavid set comprises a tinned copper ewer and basin. The ewer features an elegant piriform body rising to a faceted neck, surmounted by a domed lid topped with a knop finial. A pronounced S-curved handle with bold scrolling terminals complements the long curved spout, which is subtly engraved with floral detailing. All surfaces of the ewer are meticulously decorated with dense scrolling vine motifs.
