A Cast Brass Hanging Lamp with Arabic Inscriptions, Deccan or Persia, 16th–17th Century.
This cast brass hanging lamp features a bulbous form with a pointed base and is finely engraved with multiple bands of Arabic inscriptions, likely comprising Qur'anic verses and invocations. The script is interspersed with delicate floral motifs, adding to the vessel's visual richness. Three suspension loops are affixed to the rim, allowing the lamp to be hung.
